This is the syllabus pianists have been waiting for. The new LCME 2026 Piano syllabus launches on 13 May. Here's your invitation to get to know it.

Shaped by teachers, examiners and the real experience of learners, it brings more choice, more character and more transferable skills. Three new themed repertoire lists. In each webinar session, we will present the new 2026 Piano syllabus, exploring pedagogical and technical underpinnings, new repertoire, syllabus design, assessment approach and musician-centred design. We will explain the thinking behind recent developments, including the introduction of the keyboard harmony test as an alternative to sight reading, and how the flexibility of the syllabus reflects both continuity and changes in current teaching practice.
