Spring 2024 to see the introduction of specialised Singing and Acting routes for Musical Theatre candidates
London College of Music Examinations (LCME) will soon be releasing two separate examination routes in musical theatre, which are set to commence in Spring 2024. These pathways have been created to cater to the diverse needs and aspirations of performers across the globe.
Musical Theatre for Singers
The brand new Musical Theatre for Singers route is specifically curated for those who aspire to elevate their vocal performance in the context of musical theatre. This route will offer an in-depth focus on singing technique, repertoire building, and the interpretation of musical theatre songs. Aimed at performers of all levels, the program is designed to enhance their singing abilities and help them shine in musical theatre productions.
Musical Theatre for Actors
Parallel to this, Musical Theatre for Actors' will become the new name for the current 2023 Musical Theatre syllabus. This syllabus is for individuals seeking to refine their craft in acting, movement and singing. This comprehensive program is tailored to nurture the multifaceted skill set required by performers in the dynamic art of musical theatre.
