Musical excellence celebrated in Muscat: 60 students achieve LCME success
In a vibrant celebration of musical achievement, 60 talented performers received their London College of Music Examinations (LCME) certificates at a special ceremony in Muscat, Oman, on 1 June 2024. The event, hosted by Classic Music and Arts Institute in collaboration with Play Tunes Institute of Music, marked a significant milestone in the region's growing musical education landscape.
Among the outstanding achievements celebrated was Dhriti Ananth's successful completion of the Popular Vocal Diploma Concert, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication to performance excellence. The ceremony also honoured Ms Thanae Pachiyannakis, School Director, who achieved her ALCM teaching Diploma in Early Learning Music Education, further strengthening the institution's commitment to musical education.
The achievement marks the second year of face-to-face exams in Oman, with participation numbers showing impressive growth. Students have taken Early Learning, Percussion, Piano, and Singing exams. Building on this success, plans are already in place to increase exam sessions to twice yearly from 2025, along with introducing Music Theory exams.
This growing success in Oman exemplifies LCME's commitment to providing accessible, high-quality music education worldwide. As part of the University of West London, LCME's 130-year legacy continues to empower performers globally, opening doors to new opportunities in music and the performing arts.
