Leadership Changes at London College of Music Examinations
London College of Music Examinations (LCME) announces important leadership changes taking effect at the end of August 2024.
After years of dedicated service, Hugh Sutton will step down from his role as Chief Examiner in Music at the end of August 2024. We are delighted that Hugh will continue to serve as a valued member of the examiner panel, focusing his expertise on supporting candidates and centres worldwide. LCME extends its deepest gratitude to Hugh for his calm leadership, dedication, and wise counsel throughout his tenure. We wish Hugh the very best in his future endeavours.
We are pleased to announce that Professor John Howard, former LCME Director, has accepted the position of Interim Chief Examiner. John brings a wealth of experience as a composer, music educator and conductor, and has a long history with LCME and the University of West London. He will receive support from the Senior Examiner panel and administrative staff in managing appeals, complaints, standardisation, correspondence, and other important duties.
LCME is committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this period of change. We will leverage the talents of our experienced team and technological resources to maintain the high standards of service our centres, representatives, and customers expect. Should you have any questions about the changes, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
