LCME DJ exams withdrawal in January 2026
After careful consideration, LCME will be withdrawing DJ exams from our portfolio in early 2026. This decision allows us to focus our resources on enhancing our core music, drama and communications qualifications.
We understand this may affect some centres and candidates currently working towards DJ qualifications. To support a smooth transition, we've put clear deadlines in place.
Key dates
- Final date for exam entries/bookings: 30 November 2025
- Final date for assessments/exams: 31 January 2026
- Final date for retakes/resits: 15 March 2026
- Certification deadline (last certificates issued): 31 March 2026
What this means for you
If you're currently working towards a DJ qualification, you have until 30 November 2025 to register and until 31 January 2026 to take your first assessment. Retake opportunities will be available until 15 March 2026, with all certificates issued by 31 March 2026.
Our partnership with FutureDJs will also be concluding as part of this transition.
