National Qualifications Framework

The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) sets out the levels at which qualifications can be recognised. It helps learners to make informed decisions on the qualifications they need, by comparing the levels of different qualifications and identifying progression routes. The table below shows the levels at which LCM Examinations are recognised:

Inclusion on the NQF:

  • provides official approval of our assessment methods, reporting and certification processes
  • provides recognition that the standard of LCM Exams is broadly equivalent at each grade to that of other recognised awarding bodies
  • ensures that qualifications are eligible for funding by the Learning and Skills Council, where appropriate, under Section 96 and Section 97 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000.
