New for 2018 | LCM Piano
We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2018–2020 Piano syllabus and accompanying series of handbooks. The new syllabus is valid from Spring 2018 until Winter 2020.
LCM Piano handbooks contain all of the material that is required to take an exam, including a diverse and engaging selection of pieces at each grade. We have included more musical styles and more works by living composers than on any previous LCM Piano syllabus. For the first time, we have included twelve pieces in the Grade 8 handbook, to reflect the diversity of repertoire available at this level, and give more choice to our candidates than ever before. All exam entrants must perform at least one piece from the relevant handbook and bring an original printed copy to the exam.
All of the pieces within LCM’s Piano Anthologies can still be used as alternate repertoire choices for the 2018–2020 syllabus. These four volumes contain a wide selection of List B and C pieces from past LCM Piano syllabuses, which have proved popular with students, teachers and listeners.
